Hi,

I would like to connect a remote Modbus-RTU sensor to our central scada system using Modbus-TCP.

Can I configure the TRB145 in such a way, that it mirrors a Modbus-RTU device as Modbus-TCP device? For example, the scada-system would send a read request to the TRB145 using modbus-TCP --> TRB145 would query the Modbus-RTU device --> TRB145 would then return result to the modbus-TCP requst to scada system.

My TRB145 is accessible through a an OpenVPN-connection. I want to read data from the sensor and write configuration values to it.

If this is not possible with a build-in function, can this be achieved using socat? Can you please provide a brief guid on how to do it?

Thanks

Not 100% sure on that model, but I have done this on a rut955 and the newer trb245 i think it just has an added ethernet port.
Anyway, go to services, rs485. Set that up for modbus gateway, then set up your required baud rates etc on the interface, i set the slave id from TCP, thats the way most scada works (sends the RS485 slave id in the message request)

anyway have a look here, https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/TRB145_RS485#Modbus_gateway,

Hope that helps
