Hello,

I've been trying to add  "strongswan preshared_keys" section using SMS UCI utilities on a RUT230 latest FW but every time I tried to commit, nothing happened.

The section is not created in /etc/config/strongswan 

When doing it using CLI, it works ...

May i know if you are able to get status of the device from the number you are trying ?  Just for testing purpose.

Is this number in the list of allowed numbers to perform any actions ?

Did you tried to commit on CLI if it works ?

"Did you tried to commit on CLI if it works ?" When doing the command on CLI, it works, we tried on two RUT230, we tried multiple FW, still the same.

You already mentioned in the beginning that you are using the latest firmware but could you please double check if you are on the latest over here i.e RUT2XX_R_00.01.14 .

Any ideas ? It's seems like "add" command is lock by sms

Can you double check if the uci API is enabled in the sms rules.

If you are able to do it with CLI , it should work with sms utilities also.

What commands you are using to make it work on CLI and sms ?

Uci API is set on "by router admin password".

I'm able to do it with CLI. 

It doesn't work with sms utilities but only for the command "uci add". With "uci set" it works well by sms.

Commands I tried with sms : password uci set strongswan.TECSOL.keylife='28800s' -> Replaced existing value strongswan.TECSOL.keylife='28800s' 

uci add strongswan preshared_keys -> nothing happened, nothing in "uci changes", nothing happened in strongswan conf file.

After confirmation with R&D i received that uci add is not implemented overall .

For UCI API on sms is only for set and get.
