Hi, with my RUT955 i need to collect data from a local PLC via TCP Modbus and send Modbus data  to a remote server with the help of Modbus Data to Server.

All works fine if the http server in on LAN but if the server in on cloud no data are sent via https (without any error).

It seems that RUT955 doesnt try to connect to remote server because logs of the remote firewall doesnt shows any http(s) connection from RUT955.

Any ideas ? Whats can I check ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Hi,

If you're sending data to some kind of server which is not local - use http:// and https:// before the IP address (or URL).

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Modbus#Modbus_Data_to_Server

Also, check if you have the latest firmware version installed.

Could you check if you can ping cloud.vaiacar.it from your router?

Also, try to use 164.138.48.29 instead of URL as it is apparently the public IP of your cloud server.

Hi,

It's really weird as I saw other clients with URLs in that Data to Server field and they work normally.

Could you maybe try resetting the router to default factory settings and then try again?

Please let me know how it goes.

Hello.

I've resolved.

1. every change to Modbus Data to Server section require a reboot of the RUT955 for apply the changes

2. only via http all works fine. Via https no data are sent to cloud

Thanks
