I have two RUT240. On both, one problem, the WAN interface does not pick up if I use Ethernet. If you specify a backup WAN (without the actual reserve), it starts working normally.

Hello,

Try updating routers firmware to the latest one if you are not using it: https://wiki.teltonika.lt/view/RUT2xx_Firmware

If you are using, then I would recommend resetting router to default settings and see if issue will persist. I tried to replicate your issue, but as soon as I inserted ethernet cable to the WAN port of the router, router received an IP and had access to the internet.
