I'm trying to make a RUT360 connect to my local Ubiquiti AC-LR access point. My laptop and phone can connect just fine, but when I try with the RUT360, it won't connect. The log says :

Thu Jun 10 23:01:14 2021 daemon.notice wpa_supplicant[13145]: wlan0: SME: Trying to authenticate with 78:8a:20:49:79:1a (SSID='homebase' freq=2412 MHz)

When I set up my phone as a mobile hotspot, the RUT360 can connect just fine to it, but the normal access point won't work.

Does anyone have any idea what the cause might be ?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting.

Seems like you are putting a wrong password because when you put wrong password device will not notify you. It will just save the settings.

So better to double check with password.

Also try to upgrade device firmware to the latest in case you are using the older one.

Thanks.

Hi Ahmed,

Very very odd : I made a second network on the Ubiquiti access point. The first one was 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, this one I made as 2.4Ghz only. Same password (I copied-pasted that password in my previous attempts, so I was 100% sure it was the same, no extra spaces either in the copy-paste).

With the 2.4Ghz only network it connects like a charm. Go figure...

Kind regards,

Wim

Hello,

Could you please be more specific ?

With the 2.4Ghz only network it connects like a charm ? So its working as a client when WAN source is 2.ghz ? Problem is when its 5Ghz ? Right?

Correct me if i am wrong.

Rut360 doesn't supports A/C it supports b/g/n only.

Thanks

The first network was set up as 2.4Ghz+5Ghz on the Ubiquiti. It refused to connect to the 2.4Ghz.

When I create a 2.4Ghz only network, it does connect.

Might be a Ubiquiti issue in this case...

Hello,

Yes if the issue is with the Teltonika router it could have not connected with the other devices as you mentioned.

So, issue occurs when you configure the 5ghz that is not supported by Rut360.

Thanks.
