I wish to store my id_rsa.pub file in the trb140-modem so i can connect without giving the password.

I tried to store the authorized_keys file in /.ssh and in /root/.ssh but with no success.

I adjusted the permissions. (I use this scheme on many targets already)

Which one is the correct location?

Is there another setting i have to change?

The command i use (on a Fedora-machine) is:

ssh -l root -p 2223 trb140

Hello,

The correct location is /etc/dropbear/authorized_keys, owner root:root mode 600.

This works fine for me, with the only minor issue that it does not trigger the 'successfully logged in' SMS i have set up.
