In TRB255, I found "logread" command to display syslog.

But I cannot find "eventslog" command like RUT240.

How can I display the saved event logs with command line ?

Hello,

The event logs are stored in a .db file so if you display it via CLI it will be showing messed up words. So the only way to check the recent log file is via the command: "logread" and "logread -f (for the real-time logs)"

Note: The command: "logread" works with all our RUT devices :)

I hope it helps

RUT240 has different logs between eventslog (/log/log.db) and logread (syslog). The /log/log.db is non volatile, so I can check logs before RUT240 rebooting. But /log/log.db has an impact to lifetime of flash memory.

Is it the same log between /log/log.db and logread on TRB255 ?

Cannot I check logs before rebooting on TRB255 ?

Hi,

The logs in /log/log.db in both devices should be the same.
