Hi Support

Will it cause me any problem, if I using a RUT240 as a backup connection with default ip settings, and my WAN connection is from a router with the same ip setup. i.e. range 192.168.1.xx and with gw. 192.168.1.1 on both the RUT240 and on the WAN connection?

Hope you understand my questions.

Regards /Jeppe

Hi,

If both router DHCP ranges are the same and they have the same LAN IP - you might get an internet connection, but you won't be able to access the routers themselves.

Also, DHCP ranges cannot overlap as this will cause connection instabilities on connected user devices, so it would be best that you've changed LAN IP (and DHCP range should change too accordingly).
