I have a RUT950 which I'm planning to house in a waterproof case like a Pelicase, along with some other kit (battery / charger / RFID reader)
I'm keen to keep this box as small as possible as will be transported in personal vehicles.

The images of the RUT950 with the antennas suggest they need to be set up with the antennas sticking up.  Going to have to get a big box and have a lot of empty space or I'm going to have to set up pig tails and put these on the outside.

The question is whats the thoughts on folding these down so they don't take up so much vertical space.. would it make much difference?  We don't need much range on the wifi so could we replace these with shorter versions commonly found on other kit??

Hello,

Picture is for presidency purpose, you can fold them if you want, but if you want to save space and have IP67 antennas, then you could try using these antennas: https://teltonika.lt/product/combo-mimo-mobile-gnss-wifi-roof-sma-antenna/

Regarding GNSS (GPS) connector you can just leave it is not necessary to connect it.
