Dear Experts, we have some Rut955 used to reach and monitoring some remote devices.

We are evaluating the possibility to add some custom OID to SNMP module using the SNMP extend command in snmpd.conf file.

We tried to modify the file /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf to add the extend feature but when we restart the snmp service, the extend command disappears.

Could you kindly explain to us how we can add extend command or modify permanently the snmpd.conf file?

We have followed these instructions without success:

To make this script available over SNMP, copy the script to a location on the system path, set the executable bit, and add an extend directive to the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file. The format of the extend directive is the following:

extend name prog args

Thanks in advanced.

Regards.

Hi,
Try to add your script to /ect/rc.local or to custom scripts:  https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Custom_Scripts
