Hello,

we are using on RUT955 (FW version RUT9XX_R_00.06.08.3) L2TP VPN connections.

Our VPN provider requested an MTU size of 1400. How we can set for an L2TP-VPN the MTU size permanently? We did it manually with ifconfig command - works well, but is not permanently stored.

Many thanks for support!

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no way to set MTU size permanently via WebUI. Could you share commands that you use to set it manually?

We may be able to figure out how to add them permanently.

Regards.

Hello and thanks for fast response.

I used in CLI the following command:

ifconfig l2tp-MC205T mtu 1400

to set MTU size to 1400.

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

In that case, you could use our user scripts feature (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_User_Scripts_(legacy_WebUI))

Just input your script line and it will be executed on every startup.

Regards.

Could you please explain how you fixed this with a script as i cannot get a script to run from the interface.

I have added the below to the startup script with no luck

ifconfig l2tp-name mtu 1300

exit 0

If i run that command via CLI/SSH it works i just cant get it to remain after a reboot
thanks
