Hi,

i'm trying to connect an Nebra Miner (https://www.nebra.com/products/helium-indoor-hotspot-miner) to the RUT240.
When we connect the miner directly to the LAN port, there is no connection (RJ45 LEDs on the miner keep off).
If we connect the miner with an switch in the middle or when we connect the RUT240 to an PC it works fine.
Can anybody help me with that?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting.

May i know if you have tried to connect some other device with the LAN port of Rut just for testing purpose.

Also please use the latest firmware.

Hello,

So, meaning Rut has no issues , everything is working fine.

Please try to check Nebra Miner device.

Hello,
we managed to get the device to work with RUT240 if we configure the WAN port as LAN and connect the device to WAN.
I just would like to understand why it's working on WAN port and not on LAN

Hello,

Issue could be incompatible network chips.

Rut uses 100 Mbps and Miner uses 10 Mbps that's the reason communication fails .

You can try forcing speed down on Rut device with command:

ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg offethtool -s eth0 speed 10 duplex full autoneg off
Go to CLI:
System>CLI .
Login : root
Password : Same as you set
Now after logging run following

opkg update

opkg install ethtool

Once the package is installed add the above script in user scripts so that they wont be lost even after the reboot.

Thanks.
