Hello,

I'm trying to set netmask under LAN section (RUTX09) to 255.255.255.248 value.

It seems that it'is impossible because "custom" setting is greyed. Only possible is choosing class netmasks from list.

Do you know any possibilities to resolve my problem.

Regards,

Mariusz

Hi,

Could you attach a screenshot with an example of what you are trying to achieve? I will check it out.

I met the same issue. The newest recommended version RUTX_R_00.07.00 and it is not possible to set Custom mask at any interface (for RUTX09). I set class C 255.255.255.0 and it works. I do not need direct communication between subnets inside this classs C net so currently it is not a big problem for me.

But this bug should be fixed because impossibility of setting VLSM is frustrating. VLSM was implemented about 20 yeasr ago I guess and it should work. Also it was possible in previous version that we used.

I have found another bugs/features in RUTX_R_00.07.00 for RUTX09:

SNMP - it is not possible to change default SNMP communities public and private. I can change IP address but the community name cannot be changed.

SNMP version 3 - password for authentication must be from 8 to 12 characters. It was not limited in previous version.

SNMP version 3 - password for privacy must be from exactly 8 characters. It was not limited in previous version.
