Hi,

I have several RUT955 to set up.

Basically, the setup is the same, except for local LAN networking and DynDNS setup.

Is there any way to modify an existing and working backed up configuration and upload it on another different factory reset RUT 955?

Thanks.

Ciao

Hi,

Please make sure in each of the devices(RUT 955) have same firmware version so that you can easily upload the backup and change your local LAN and DyDDNS setup

For Backup please visit  System>Administration>Backup configuration and download it.

@shreyash.s' answer is missing a critical piece of info:

- how do we properly recompress the untar'ed backup file so that it can be restored to the new device?

In the backup directory (containing etc maybe other subdirs) :

tar cvfz ../backup-xxx.tar.gz *
