Question

Hi, I have two RUTX09 routers that I plan to use for a remote CCTV site. I'd like to use one as a primary router and another as a backup. The VRRP service seems to fit this perfectly. I have managed to enable this on both routers but I don't seem able to configure the check internet connection - this menu isn't present on the router.

I've upgraded to the latest firmware but this hasn't changed anything. The slave router will take over if I physically power off the primary but not if the primary loses internet connection.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction? Is there another way to configure this?

If I understand correctly, this section is not present in your VRRP configuration screen?

Or is it available but no matter how you configure it, it does not affect anything?

Hi Thanks. I tried this and I can now see the extra field. However it seems caused some issues with my OpenVPN. When I go to upload HMAC authentification the file uploaded is never saved. I've restored to factory defaults but it isn't working, is this another bug?

HMAC Authentication issue is known to us and will be fixed with a new firmware release, which should come soon (in a few days, possibly today)
