Good afternoon, we have a TRB140 with active simcard. We have set the mobile network to NAT and use auto APN. When we connect a device via the ethernet port to the TRB140 we are not able to ping any website from that device. The same ping from the TRB140 works. When we set the network to passthrough then we are able to ping from the device but it gets the static ip from the TRB140. Is it possible to set the network to NAT (and get a ip via DHCP for the device) and have a connection to the internet via the device? We need this setup for our use case. Regards, Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Well such use case is possible. To be honest, it is kind of default one. There are two important things that needs to be selected:

1) Navigate to Network -> Interfaces -> MOB1S1A1 -> advanced settings -> select Mode: NAT

2) Open your Ethernet settings(if using a windows machine with Windows 8/10/11 press the windows key and type Ethernet settings). Left click on your network interface and check IP settings. It must be assigned to DHCP, if it is static, click Edit and select DHCP.

The device connected to TRB140 should have internet access after completing these 2 steps provided above. However, if it does not work, please navigate to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot and download the troubleshoot file. Please forward the troubleshoot file via private message to me.

In addition, please open command prompt(press windows key, type cmd and hit enter) and type ipconfig /all. Make a screenshot of your Ethernet adapter settings that you are using and forward it to me as well.

And lastly, please make a screen shot of your Etherner adapter settings under ip configuration.

Best Regards,

Dziugas
