Good morning. My RUT240 suddenly stopped working yesterday. It is installed in a plastic box placed outside. I opened the box and noticed that both the connection status and signal strength LEDs were blinking. At first, the blinking was quite fast, then I restarted the router and the blinking has slowed down to 1 second per blink. In the manual this particular status is not described (because the only description is about only the status leds OR only the signal leds, not both and together).

What could be the problem?

Thank you

Hi, a description of all the states of LED indicators can be found here - https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_LEDs

Can you get into WebUI? Can you get into the bootloader menu?

Regards.

Thank you for the answer,

yes, I've already seen the link you suggested, but there is no description about my particular case. However the problem has gone by itself. I kept the router off for a few days and restarted it today. It has gone to factory defaults, so I had to configure it again. After the configuration, it started working again.

I think the problem was caused by some water that i found inside the SIM slot and/or ethernet ports (because of PGs not sealed properly).

I'm glad to hear that the problem has been resolved. Be careful, water can kill your device and this will not be a warranty case.
