Hi,

I am trying to set up a WAN failover between Mobile (main) and Wifi station (backup). RUT950 FW RUT9XX_R_00.06.00.4.

I tried testing this by taking the SIM out of the slot. The device switched over to WiFi successfully, but when I put the SIM back in and rebooted to get the mobile connection back, the device did not switch back to Mobile for its internet.

Is the failover only meant to be a once off?

Thanks

Hi,

If you physically take out the SIM card and put back in, then the modem needs to be rebooted otherwise it won't connect. Also, if the SIM is in place then the failover works fine.

Yes I understand that. But even after the reboot, and I can see that the SIM has connected to a network, the device does not switch from Wifi to Mobile.
