I am using an MQTT client that subscribes to the MQTT broker wan topic. It works if I use a RUT240 FW 01.14.4 but it doesn't with RUT950 FW 06.08.5 or 07.01.1. The WAN IP is displayed in both Routers' GUI, but for the RUT950 the response through MQTT is N/A

Hello Yanis,

Thank you for your query. I have just tested MQTT functionality on RUT950 FW 07.01.1 . Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the issue, WAN IP has been returned as intended.

Could you please specify what MQTT broker are you using? I have tested this with an MQTT broker called Flesbi.io, it is free: https://flespi.io

More information on MQTT configuration:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Monitoring_via_MQTT

Note: if you are using a different MQTT broker, please could provide more information what broker you are currently using and your MQTT configuration(from Server side, screenshot from WEBUI will do) and from the Broker Side. Alternatively, you could try using flespi.io.

Best Regards,

Dziugas

I'm using the MQTT Broker on the router (enabled from the Services->MQTT->Broker). As for the client is paho and I'm using a python script. It's strange because I can get the rest of information but not the WAN IP (tried with mosquitto too)

It's been a while and realised I never uploaded the picture. The RUT950 has been set based on the MQTT monitoring webpage and I can read most of the information I'm after (e.g. signal, S/N etc) but not the WAN IP, hence I'm using the modbus to read it. I'm still using the legacy FW (tried FW 6.9.2 but still the same error).

mqtt_modbus WAN IP

Maybe this helps a little bit more:
https://community.teltonika-networks.com/31998/publish-gps-data-to-mqtt-with-rutx11

Just replace the GPS with the WAN IP.
