Hello!

I am trying to use my TRB140 device as Wireguard VPN server but cant access its public IP.  Wireguard VPN connection works when using Teltonika as a client and connecting to my Ubuntu server. I have entered custom APN for public IP  but at the "networks > interfaces"  the MOB1S1A1 interaface ip is still 10.xx.xx....   When I look up the public ip of the TRB140 device with exampe "curl ifconfig.me" it something that starts with 85.xx...

When I try to ping the 85.xx... address it times out. In the "traffic rules" ping should be allowed. But when connecting to the other Wireguard server as a client, it works and shows at the server that the 85.xx.xx device is connected.

Hello,

The mob1s1a1 interface is in the 10.x range, this is a private address and cannot be reached from the outside world. The 85.x address is the public address of a router in the provider's network.

In this case, the TRB cannot be used as a VPN server.

@artturiW,

You may refer to this link, if it is not clear how the Private and Public IP address differ:

You need to contact your ISP in order to obtain a public IP address.
