Every few days my RUT240 is loosing mobile connection and then starting it again. When this happens Movistar assigns me new IP which is very bad for me. This is center of Barcelona with very good connectivity with 4G, so I doubt I really loose connection. How can I fix this?

I do not understand why when mobile connection is restarted, also my local connections get restarted?

Hello,

Regarding the issue, you are having it seems to be normal because usually, the ISP providers (Operators) configure lease times on their sim card where they are renewing the IP address at a certain time. If you are having a dynamic ip address it would be best to have the DDNS service turned on there are some free ones that you need to renew every 30 days.

Here is one of the examples: Noip.com DDNS configuration - Teltonika Networks Wiki (teltonika-networks.com)

Hi Jerome,

According to support stuff from Movistar they keep IP and connection indefinite, till it is disconnected on client side. So it seems RUT240 looses connection for some reason. It is not regular pattern either. I have installed newest Firmware today, what are other ways to debug this?

Hi,

For that to troubleshoot this we need to get a copy of the troubleshoot file when the router fails and renew the IP address. Also, the device must be not rebooted in this event so that we can get the full logs on what is happening to the device. Is there any specific time when it is happening? Because if let say it is every 12hours it's usually the ISP renewing the IP lease of the sim card. To sure troubleshoot file is really needed.

You can get a copy of the troubleshoot file by navigating to System > Administration > Troubleshoot once you got the troubleshoot file kindly share it with me via PM.

Jerome

I have sent the file in the private message, also asking if problems with power supplies and starting up of router should be logged as I do not see such events in the log assuming there was no power problem in this time.

Cheers,
