If I want to configure a RUT955 with a macbook, my understadning is that I have to use OpenVPN. is this correct?

After I connect with OpenVPN, would the general commands you list under linux configurations work?

Thank you for contacting us.
I would like to ask, could you provide more information what you want to configure?
I am asking, because if you want access device via SSH, you do not need VPN if you have local access to device.
In SSH device will accept most of OpenWRT commands.

thanks for the quick feedback.

The intended use case is to couple the RUT955 with an antenna, mount the system on a camper van to provide a network to the vehicle.  does this help?
