Hi,

We have numerous RUT230 all operating the same.

This one however keeps disconnecting the 3g. The router does not appear to make any connection attempts.

Every now and then you can get it to connect and it all works fine but does not stay on long. I have 2 bars on the signal strength.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Thank you for provided information. From it I can tell that device signal strength is quite low, and thus it could be the issue why device keeps disconnecting from 3G network. Furthermore, make sure your operator is not disabling a 3G network in your area.

Currently, there are a couple of recommendation what you could try and do to improve 3G connection and reconnection time:

1. Make sure Mobile antenna is properly attached to the device.

2. To try and make reconnections faster, recommend configuring ping reboot feature: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT230_Auto_Reboot_(legacy_WebUI)#Ping_Reboot

If after this issue still persist, then try upgrading device firmware version to the latest one. Firmware can be found here: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT230_Firmware_Downloads
