Dear All,

I've configured the vpn client just like I do for my RUT955 and it seems that i dont connect my vpn provider for nothing.

I've noticed the numbers of characters accepted on RUTX11 are limited and dont accept the full login/password provided by expressvpn.

Anyone faced the same and how fixed it ?

many thanks

Hello,

Thanks for contacting TELTONIKA | Crowd-support forum.

Can you please let me know your device’s firmware for RUTX11?

Best regards

I-ve just upgraded to the latest version however after the update the router didnt come up.

Is there a way to recovery it ?

Im a bit disappointed.
by anonymous

I could update it to:

RUTX_R_00.07.01.2
2022-01-04 10:10:21
EG06ELAR03A05M4G
5.4.147

The main issue now is related to the fact when connected thru vpn it doesnt resolve any name. I've forced to dns 8.8.8.8 but it doesnt work. any tip > :)

Hello,

If possible, try to perform a factory reset from the router's WebU.

To do so, login to the router and go to the Backup section found under the System tab (SystemBackup → Restore default settings). In the very bottom of the page there's a Restore button that performs a factory reset on click:

Here's a detailed guide about ExpressVPN_and_RUTX_router.

Hi,

I'm disappointed. RUTX11 its not stable as RUT955 and also RUTX11 doesnt work vpn, no matter what.

Theres no such option to disable the Use DNS servers advertised by peer" on RUTX11 firmware (latest).

Its a shame, but it seems that i will have to return the router to the dealer...

Think I had same (or similar) problem.

Solved by back-dating firmware to 07.00

I've deployed the firmware RUTX_R_00.02.06.1 it works but its very unstable. The connection drops all the time and i have to restart the router often.

Very disappointed. Bought RUTX11 to have more and im collecting less. :(

Various automatic device reboot scenarios can be configured in the Auto Reboot section. Automatic reboots can be used as a prophylactic or precautionary measure that ensures the device will self-correct some unexpected issues, especially related to connection downtime.
