Hi Guys,

I've connected a RUT955 via OpenVPN to a remote server. The remote network is 172.16.0.0/16 and the local WAN Network I use to connect is 172.16.0.0/20

The connection is established but I can not ping or reach any device. The status of the routes shows me that the wan route is before the openVpn route and the same subnet.

Can you help me? What can I do if changing the subnet isn't a possible way?

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting.

First of all i would recommend you to change the LAN network to some other IP pool.

There might be conflict .

What is the firmware on the device, its recommended to use the latest .

Thanks.

Hello thank you!

I can not change the Network of the WAN Interface and also not the VPN Server Network.

I am using the latest firmware. The Routing should use the VPN route first and then the WAN route. How can I change that?

Thank you!

Hello,

For that you can create static routes in Network>Routing>Static routes and set metrics accordingly like for VPN metric 1 and for WAN metric 2 . Like that.

Thanks.
