Hi

I have connected a RUT 240 to PLC direct from LAN port. I access Rut240 via mobile 4G. I tried to follow the CCTV camera guide on youtube. But I can't auto scan the PLC. So I typed it manually.

I Tried to set up RMS VPN for a Siemens PLC S7-400 IP 192.168.1.10 gateway 192.168.1.1.

My RUT 240 has LAN IP 192.168.1.1 serial 1121090375 FW RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.4

I attached screenshot from VPN with my PC and router in session list.

I can't ping 192.168.1.10 or go online from Siemens software.

Please suggest how to proceed.

Hello,

Please, share some screenshots of your RMS VPN configuration and the failed ping attempt. It is also recommended to update the firmware to at least the latest legacy version RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.5. You can download it on the wiki page:

I just made another test setup. My RUT 240 (Lan port 10.136.2.10) is connected to a laptop with fixed IP 10.136.2.70. I am able to find it automatically when I search route. But I can't ping it when I connect via openVPN. I can ping the router from the laptop.

Hello,

Could you share the topology of the network you are trying to create and from what IP you are trying to ping the laptop? It seems you are using a different configuration than the previously described.

Also, the VPN HUB seems to be online. Are you able to ping the VPN IPs (192.168.255.6, 192.168.255.10) from each other?

Hello,

I'm trying to achieve the same but it's not working.

I have a RUT360 with LAN IP 192.168.120.120/255.255.0.0, my PLC has LAN IP 192.168.120.54/255.255.0.0 and default gateway set to the LAN IP from the RUT360.

I created a VPN Hub in RMS with the correct route and LAN forwarding on but when I connect with the OpenVPN Connect software I can't ping the PLC.

Also, I don't see the TAP-Windows Adapter V9 in my PLC software (while it is in the list from network adapters in Windows).

Please help me in setting up a succesfull VPN to my PLC.

Thanks in advance.
