Hello,

I did an upgrade to version 7.01.4 today on one of our RUT950 units, strangely the device reverted factory defaults, so I applied a backup config.

Now the device will not connect to the GSM network when our network operator whitelist is applied.

Regards,

Gary

Hello Gary,

At the moment there is not a confirmed date, probably in a month the firmware is going to be ready but this could change.  Sorry for not being able to provide a clear answer on this topic.

Blacklisting seems also not working:
After adding a new OperatorList (e.g. called "Swiss" which just one operator-number as an example e.g. 22801) and enabling, the mobile-connection immedaitely stop working.

Any help/hint ?

Hello Gary,

About this issue, usually when you update a device from a very old firmware version the configuration it's erased. The issue with using the backup configuration file is that you have to use a configuration file that was produced using the same firmware version as the version that is running on the device.

My recommendation would be to factory reset the device and configure it manually, if this doesn't work please leave a comment :)

Hello,

Today I have factory defaulted the RUT950 config and loaded firmware 7.1.4.

I have created an network operator allow/white list and applied it.  The device fails to register to the network with the whitelist enabled.

I have double checked that the home network operator code is included in the list.

As soon as I disabled operator whitelist the the modem connects without issue.

Looks like a bug in the latest firmware to me.

Hello,

Could you please provide a troubleshoot file of your device?

The steps to get the troubleshoot file are the following:

  1. Enter the webUI
  2. Click on the System tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. Go to the Administration tab and click the Troubleshoot option.
  4. Click the download button for the troubleshoot file.

Hi Ricardo,  I have the file.  How can I get it to you privately?

**edit** I have sent you the file.

Yes, we can confirm that this is a bug, thank you for noting this issue. It should be fixed for the next firmware release.

Thanks for confirming.

When is the next firmware version due for release?
by anonymous
Hello,

At the moment there is not a scheduled date of release for the next firmware version, it could take around two months to be released but this could change at any time. Sorry for not having a specific answer to this question.

Hello,

Currently, there is a new firmware version that you can try, you can find it at the following link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT955_Firmware_Downloads

Regarding the Telnet connection issue, this feature should be disabled by default in the configuration because Telnet is a vulnerable protocol.

Hello,

Sorry but the same issue with the whitelist is still present in the latest version (7.02.1)
