Hi,

We are looking for a router which supports connections towards multiple PDN's. (up to four). Towards each of these PDN's selected LAN segments should be able to connect.

In the datasheet of the RUT950 it is mentioned that the Multiple-PDN support is optional. But it is not mentioned how this is implemented. Hence:

- How many PDN's can be setup on the same SIM? (we only intend to use one sim card)

- Can multiple LAN segments connect to the same PDN?  (Note: A LAN segment shall only connect towards one PDN)

- Any special firmware to be loaded to allow this functionality (as I read in one of the other posts that a special firmware needs to be installed)?

Thanks in advanced,

Marcel

Hello,

Since firmware version 7.00 release Multiple APN is support is included as a standard feature, available on most of Teltonika routers and gateways, not only RUT950. More details about the feature is provided in the link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Multi-APN

Regarding your questions,

  • Only two APNs are supported at the same time;
  • Traffic rules can be configured to separate traffic from different VLANs to be forwarded through separate WAN zones, using different APNs.
  • No additional packages are required for multi APN functionality.

Best regards,

Žygimantas
