Hello,

in RMS, is it possible to protect Remote HTTP(S) devices by restricting the access to the Link generated by RMS to certain IPs (Whitelist)? If not, is it alternatively possible to protect the generated Links with HTTP Basic Auth through the RMS System?

Being able to restrict access to the RMS HTTP(S) Links would provide an additional safety layer.

Hi,

Kindly note that we have Two-Factor Authentication only for RMS accounts and we don't have this option for the generated links.

Also, the generated link has a specific duration period as well as only those who have the RMS account password can generate it.

Thanks

Hello,

thank you for your response. We would like to use RMS Connect to connect a web application with an IoT-Device. However, in our current architecture, using a VPN is not possible. That is why we have thought about using RMS Connect to access the device via a link, however if we would do so, we would like to add some additional safety (e.g. by whitelisting the server ip or adding http basic auth through RMS). However RMS does not seem to support this, right?

Hi,

yes, RMS doesn't support whitelist or auth for the generated links.
