I have a need to route a specific IP to one of my backup  ISP links  as the IP used by my primary ISP
I have a RUT950 RUT9_R_00.07.01.4

My secondary ISP interface the WAN is DHCP and assigned the IP address 10.95.42.170/30 and has a gateway 10.95.42.169

So I have successfully added a route - on the WAN interface 67.208.88.200/255.255.255.255 to 10.95.42.169  and this works

However I expect at some time the DHCP allocation from my ISP will change and so this static route will stop working  so is there a way of setting up the static route so it uses the DHCP assigned gateway for the interface rather than a static value?

I also find that if I add screen shots the forum says there is a character limit

Hello,

Please check this solution in OpenWRT forum, it might help you to achieve your goal: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/dynamic-ipv4-gateway-value-for-static-route/76114.

Maybe there is another way to do that use the output device not the address:

ip route add 67.208.88.200/32 dev eth1
