I am trying to connect from the laptop to either of the two sub-nets connected to the hub. I can connect to the 192.168.10.0 network OK using L2TP and IPsec, but cannot connect devices in the 192.168.20.0 network. I have tried adding an IP alias to the RUT240, and static routes. All suggestions welcome...

Hello,

With a static route, you should be able to access the subnets indicated. Have you tried testing connectivity from the router to the other networks? Can you share with me the troubleshooting file of the device? There I can check the routing table of the router. This can be obtained via System→Administration→Troubleshoot.

Got there! Added the alias interface on the RUT240 - 192.168.20.254, then added static routes on the RUT240 -

192.168.10.0 via 192.168.10.254

192.168.20.0 via 192.168.20.254

Then added a static route on the laptop -

192.168.20.0 via 192.168.10.254

The final static route is vital as it directs packets down the L2TP tunnel to the LTE router.

Thanks for making me think a little further.
