Hello,

I bought a RUTX11, and I installed the firmware RUT_R_00.07.01.4

I would like to install it in a motorhome with an outdoor antenna.

Manufacturer : PANORAMA ANTENNAS

LGMDM-6-60-24-58 Vehicle Antenna :        2x2 MiMo 4G/5G + 2x2 MiMo WiFi + GPS/GNASS

does this antenna seem well suited to this router ?

Is the factory configuration of the router set to have the best 4G signal ?

or should the router be configured according to the antenna ?

Thank you for your reply

Cordially

ROSA Renaud

Hello,

These are the basic requirements for 3rd party antennas:

https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Third-party_Antennas

PANORAMA ANTENNAS LGMDM-6-60-24-58 Vehicle Antenna seems suited for RUTX11 router with wide frequency range for multi band support, should work well with routers Carrier Aggregation feature which uses x2 bands at the same time for stronger signal.

If you haven't bought Panorama product yet, Teltonika roof antenna can be considered:

There is no configuration option for best signal, since there are a lot of factors in play that may change signal output, like GSM tower load, other competing signals, weather, location, physical objects. Factory configuration with some testing will bring best results. By selecting specific frequency range signal quality might improve. There is a video on this topic that might be useful as well:

Wireless:

For WiFi you can scan the area with apps like Wi-Fi analyzer or Wi-Fi channel scanner on your mobile device to check the surrounding signals and avoid congested channels.
