The device does seem to disconnect the modem itself quite frequently.
One thing I suggest for you to do is to perform the bootloader recovery procedure. You will find detailed instructions in the following link: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTXxx_Firmware_via_The_Bootloader_Menu.
If that does not help you should return the device.
