Carrier aggregation using EE in UK with TCR100

Installed a TCR100 in our motorhome to test performance compared to a TPlink mr600.

Cannot get CA to work correctly.

The TP will lock to B1 and B3 giving 206Mbps

The TCR locks to 2x B3 giving 43Mbps.

My Xiaomi 11 also has an EE SIM which also locks to B1 and B3 hitting over 200Mbps

Am I missing something or is it a limitation of the TCR100?

Hello,

In case the device does not detect correct bands automatically, you can try setting bands manually. For instructions, refer to this site: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Band_Lock#Band_lock_setting.

I understand it supports CA.

Should it support B1 + B3?

It appears not as when I try it will do either B1 or B3 in single or will lock to B3 + B3.

Either way is 25% of what my tplink router or Xiaomi phone can achieve for download speed

Hello,

Check the modem firmware version in the router's WebUI. If it contains EG06EL, based on the modem manufacturer's specification, the modem is not able to aggregate bands B1 and B3.
