Hi,

I'm trying to setup the RUT955 to pass the external mobile IP to the WAN port which is connected to a cisco ASA-5516 firewall. We are trying to establish a secure tunnel to another site. I have tried many is of the settings on the RUT955 without success.

We tried firmware RUT9_R_00.07.02.1, but after loading it, the modem stopped working. We downgraded back to RUT9XX_R_00.06.09.1 and it is working again.

We appreciate your help!

Eddie

Hey,

With the latest firmware, you shouldn't have any issues with the modem. Maybe after the update, you can reboot the modem via Status→Network, and at the bottom of the page reboot modem. Otherwise, rebooting the device after the update should work. You can also try changing the mobile configuration from automatic APN to manually typed APN.

On the other hand, in the new or old firmware, I think the setting you are looking for is Bridge or Passthrough. This may allow you to get the Mobile IP obtained on the device you connect over the LAN. Here is more information about this setting.
