I recently bought a RUTX11 and want to configure it in a way that it distributes internet access to connected devices (Laptop, Smartphone, etc.). Internet comes via LAN, WiFi or mobile connections. The priority shall be exactly this order. I tried to achieve this by following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INGKWNqnZZ0 right after a factory reset, but that didn't help. Is there any guide I could follow?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Teltonika Crowd Support.

RUTX11 wireless feature can be used to manage and configure Wi-Fi access points and Wi-Fi stations (Clients). For the YouTube link shared here is a guide oh how to set RUTX11 as a Wi-Fi Client such that the RUTx11 is source of internet is wireless.

To configure RUTX11 as a Wi-Fi access point such that it provides internet to your connected devices (Laptop, Smartphone, etc.) change the mode of operation from basic to advanced, this can be done by clicking the Basic Mode button that is on the top right.

Then go to Network > Wireless

You will be prompted to a window with 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ. Choose the frequency that you prefer.

To edit the Wi-Fi settings like ESSID and Wi-Fi security, to the right there is a pen Icon, click on it to edit.

For a step-by-step guide and more information on RUTX11 Wireless, kindly check the following link https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Wireless

On setting Internet to come via LAN, Wi-Fi and mobile in that order you will configure the Failover feature.

Go to Network> Failover

On the left use the drag icon to drag Wired Wan to be priority 1, Wi-Fi priority 2, Mobile priority 3. Remember to slide the off/on to turn Failover on. The following link demonstrates how to configure failover https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Failover. The link also explains step by step on how to configure load balancing between the 3 sources of internet.

For more technical support, feel free to get back.

Kind regards,

Shadrack.
