Hello, I am considering RUTX11/QusPot combination for my sailboat. While cellular is nice to have, I would like to rely on WiFi coverage as much as possible. Could someone tell me -

1) In absence of SIM cards, would this combination work in WiFi only mode?

2) Is there an app that would let me select Wifi network using an iPhone? I would like to avoid booting up my laptop each time I need to configure.

Thank you all !

Greetings,

Thank you for your question.

1) Yes, this setup is possible with minimal configuration. All you need to do is set your Wifi as main WAN and Mobile sim card/cards as failovers. This way whenever Wifi is not available, your connection would switch to Mobile.

2) While there is no dedicated app, once you are connected to routers WiFi, you can login to WebUI on your iPhone using any browser and change any settings you want. Alternatively, our routers has a Multi AP feature, where you can add multiple access points to connect to whenever they are available/in range. This would eliminate the need to login to WebUI whenever you want to connect to an access point. https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX11_Wireless#Multi_AP

Best regards.
