Hi,

RUT240 run fine about 2 mounths on a remote place not easy to access. 4G connection -51db signal. Openvpn client worked perfectly (server is still ok).

From about 2 days I cannot no more reach the router and his subnet.

I tried to send reboot sms (last settings no password, no filters), but nothing do.

If I call the SIM, the tel is ringing so the power is on.

I checked the operator SIM traffic for the last days, the SIM is connected to operator's net but with very low traffic (about 1MB).

It seems like a router reset alone..

On RMS the router is showed offline.

I have a backup file for last good configuration.

Please can you help me to remotely restore the config file as easy possible?

Fw version RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.5

Thank you

Hello,

From what you say, I think the only way you can access and recover the device is through the mobile utilities.  I think what you can try to regain access is to try these commands. You can restart the mobile connection with the mobileoff and mobileon commands. Here is a link with more information about mobile utilities.

I think that since you have not done any other configuration these are your options to get the mobile service up. I recommend that when you have access to the device you update the firmware version and configure a ping reboot with modem reboot in case you have any connection problems with the signal provider. Here is the link to update the firmware and the ping reboot configuration.

Hi,

Thank you for reply.

I will upgrade ones I get access to the router.

I tried to use few sms commands (mobileon, status, vpnon etc) with and without password but no reply.

My config had a daily reboot option turned on at 4am. On RMS I can see that the last connection attempt was 2022-07-12 03:57:07, so I suspect that after this automated reboot the device gone freezed.

Therefore I restarted remotely the power (by a GSM remote switch) but nothing changed.

I would to try with userdefaults and/or dafault sms command but I don't know if this help.

I tried all kinds of messages, no response from the router.  I will have to go to the remote place to reset it.  I am disappointed with how Teltonika products work.  For the price paid I was convinced of greater reliability.
