Hello,

I'm using some RUT955 (V6.7.4) for connecting PID on our supervision system.

the connection between the router and our system is using ipsec tunnel.

the connection between the router and the PID is using serial link.

All the router's have the same configuration except for their Ip adress.

since two days one of the router can not be connected to the supervision.

it seems like the serial over ip does not work anymore.

I can see that the router is not listenning en the TCP port i have programmed on the router.

I have done several test like disable/enable serial configuration, modifying the port, .. and the router never listen on the programmed port anymore.

What can i do to solve this problem?

best regards

Hello,

Here are a few things that you can do:

If these do not help, please attach a troubleshoot file by editing your question. Replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration > Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

There is also a possibility of internal hardware failure.

Best regards,

I have a similar problem: after a couple of months /dev/rs485 and /dev/rs232 disappeared, but I can still see /dev/ttyACM0 and /dev/ttyATH1, but when I cat /dev/ttyATH1 I don't see any data that the device physically connected to the RS485 is sending there. There is also an SD card connected there and it still works fine, GPS works too.

Hello,

thanks for your reply.

i can't do this. The device  is at 800 km of my office.

If i reset to the factory default i will lose the connection to the device.

best regards.

Hello,

I investigate more my problem.

the device is not listenning on the tcp port defined in the serial configuration.

the sodog process in not running.

Is there some logs that i can analyze to try to resolve the problem?

best regards.

the logread show that the sodog process doesn't work because there is no more rs232 device int the /dev

on a working device the rs232 is linked on /dev/ttyACM0 but on the device on default there is no /dev/ttyACM0.

is there something that i can do by the cli to solve the problem?

best regards

If there is no /dev/ttyACM0, it usually means that the CPU is not able to see the device and it means that there is a hardware failure.
