Hi Support,

we use different hardware versions of RUT240.
- RUT2400DXXXX
- RUT24006XXXX.

As everyone know, the config files are not compatible with each other but is there a workaround available? Maybe a converting tool?
It is a pain to manage everytime to different version. this increases the error rate of the engineers.....

Hello,

The workaround would be to copy and paste the configuration from one backup file to another.

You would only need to copy the config from the files where you have made any changes to it. Otherwise, we have no converters, the only option is to edit the backup file from the router with the new product code.

How I can edit the backup file an replace the product code? Is there a guide for this?

Hello,

No, there is no guide for this.

The product code is available in file hw_info and system in /etc/ folder.

However, after the changes are made, there is a high change the there will be issues with the configuration as there are specific configurations for certain order codes
