Hello everyone

I have a RUT240. I am currently on Legacy firmware RUT2XX_R_00.01.14.1 and I am thinking of upgrading to RUT2_R_00.07.02.6 but first I want to know if it is possible to go back to legacy firmware.

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

Yes it is possible to go to the legacy firmware.

This can be done by downloading the back up. If the upgrade does not work well with your device, you can roll back. However it is always advisable to always update your unit to the latest firmware.

The following is a step by step guide on how to upgrade https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Firmware

To download backup Go to System > Backup and download the backup.

For more information or technical support, kindly revert.
Kind regards,

Shadrack.

The reason why I don't know if I will be able to stay on the latest version is that with the current firmware I can't use the QMI option with my SIM, and I have read that the PPP option has disappeared in the new firmware versions. Is this true?

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, you will be able to downgrade your device to previous versions. Just keep in mind that you will most likely lose your current configuration in the process, thus, before attempting an update, make a backup.

Best regards,
