Hi,

I'm attempting to use the output pin of the RUT240 to trigger a relay. I use a 9V wall adapter to power the RUT240, and the relay works perfectly when I touch the 9V power connection onto the relay trigger pin, however nothing happens when I attempt to toggle the output pin using the Teltonika web UI. The trigger current is <5mA, so is well within the stated maximum output pin current of 300mA, which leads me into thinking that the output pin is not changing state as it appears to on the WebUI.

  1. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?
  2. Is the voltage of the output pin the same as the power voltage?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Hello,

Is the issue still relevant?

Could you provide your wiring and measurement schematics?

Best regards,

It is an open collector. See it as a gate that opens to ground. You need a pull up resistor and a supply of power. Max rating on eg. RUTX09  is 30 V   300 mA.   Be carefull with selecting the resistor, or something might be damaged. Talking of experience.

Wikipedia has an article about it.
