HI

The Company i work for Deploys many RUT950 with a OpenVPN Client to various customers to provide remote acsess to the remote network.

The Network Confiuration is often pretty straightforward,  OpenVPN server uses iroute (s) to enable communication to the RUT950s network.

An ip range has been allocated for this purpuse, lets lay it is 10.20.0.0/16

When we deploy a RUT950 we typically set it to have an LAN ip in this range for example: 10.20.1.0/24, and all host connected to this router will follow that name.

The porblem occures when we need to deploy a RUT950 in a customers network and thay wont/cant use 10.20.10.0/24 but instead wants somethig diffrent like 12.24.32.0/24.

We could set the LAN configuration diffrently, but then we cant connect to the routers hosts.

What i think i want:

Deploy the router with 12.24.32.0/24 and NAT?/translate/redict for example  10.20.10.10 to 12.24.32.10.

The chain would look like this:

a request from our home network to 10.20.10.10 gets routed to the OpenVPN server and routes  to  via the tunnel 10.20.10.10 (RUT950)

The RUT950 Translates/redicts this IP to 12.24.32.10 so that the connection can be made.

Is this possible? Im no network engineer and my head explodes when looking into iptables.

Thanks in advance
