Hi,

I'm using IPv6 over LTE on a RUT240.

At every reboot IPv6 will be activated exactly 30 minutes after boot. IPv4 is activated immediately.

Exerpt from the log:

Tue Jan 26 12:18:05 2021 daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'mob1s1a1_6' is enabled
Tue Jan 26 12:18:05 2021 daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'mob1s1a1_6' has link connectivity
Tue Jan 26 12:18:05 2021 daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'mob1s1a1_6' is setting up now
Mon Oct 3 18:28:29 2022 daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'mob1s1a1_6' is now up
Mon Oct 3 18:28:32 2022 user.notice mwan3-hotplug[14450]: mwan3 hotplug on mob1s1a1_6 not called because interface disabled
Mon Oct 3 18:28:33 2022 user.notice firewall: Reloading firewall due to ifup of mob1s1a1_6 (wwan0)

The device is booted at 17.58 and at 18.28 the IPv6 interface goes up.

I have two RUT240 that behave the same way. After the 30 minutes IPv6 works flawless.

Firmware RUT2_R_00.07.02.7.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I would like you to attach a complete troubleshoot file to your question. Make sure to replicate the issue, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration > Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

Best regards,

Hi Žygimantas,

No problem.

I have attached two troubleshoot archives.  "nok" is Not Ok immediately after reboot, and the "ok" is created half an hour later.

Best regards,

Peter

Thank you, I will consult with RnD about this.

Does it take a similar amount of time for IPv6 interface to go up if PDP type is set to IPv6 only, as in the logs it is set to IPv4/IPv6?

Thank you.

This device is at a remote location so I'm not so keen to test with IPv6 only as I will lose access to it.

However, I've done some testing with another RUT240 with the same software and the same SIM configuration and I don't see this problem there. I have tested with IPv4, IPv6 and IPv4v6. It always acquires the address fast.

I'm very interested in what RnD will come up with.
