Hello,

Thank you for your question.

Could you please specify a detail regarding your configuration, I noticed that you have set Public IP on the IP address source, does your device have a Public IP?

Since there is no free tier in Google Cloud DDNS, I could not test the exact configuration, therefore I did some testing using the free No-IP service. I can confirm that this free alternative works on our devices and I could suggest trying to configure your domain on this website. More information about No-IP could be found on this website: https://www.noip.com/

Best regards,

Hi Justas,

Thank you for your feedback signal. I would like to use google as I have hosted domains there too. I connect to the internet via Sim2. The one with the public address was just another attempt, I had already posted various things there. What else do you need from me?

Hello,

Could you please download the troubleshoot file and forward it to me, so I could inspect your configuration and look at device's logs. To download the troubleshoot (once the issue is present) navigate to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot -> Download Troubleshoot.

More information on how to do it: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Administration#Troubleshoot

Hello,

After looking at the device‘s configuration I noticed that the IP address on your Mobile interface is from a Private IP address range. This means, that when you are accessing the internet via this IP address, a Public shared IP between multiple mobile devices is being used. It is provided by Mobile Service Provider. More information about the difference between private and public IP addresses could be found in this article: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Private_and_Public_IP_Addresses

It also includes a section about Public Shared IP.

To sum up, the DDNS server won‘t work without a Public IP address, since you cannot access the device with Private IP. When you have a Public IP address, you are reachable from the internet. However, when you are using a Shared Public IP, you are not, since there are multiple devices sharing this IP address. To get the Public IP which would be attached only to your SIM card, you should contact your Mobile Internet Service Provider. Currently, you are using a Shared Public IP, which is the same as having a Private IP.

Best regards,
Justas C.
