How can I remotely perform a device/client discovery on an RUT240? I recently deployed an RUT240 onto a device that used to be connected to a University's network. The local IP of the device was 169.237.89.42 which I assume was assigned by a MAC reservation. I've tried setting the DHCP server to .1 and .254 but the device never appears on the DHCP client list. Please help and forgive my noob-ness.

Hello,

169.237.89.42 does not appear to be a local IP.

Are you able to ping 169.237.89.42 from any other local machine?

Could you explain more about your network setup?

What do you mean by remote discovery? Is the client not directly connected to RUT240?

Did you configure DHCP within RUT240? What subnet is meant by .1 and .254?

Best regards,
