I have a pair of RUT240s running RUT2_R_00.07.02.7 firmware

There is a GRE tunnel that runs between them, and I can successfully ping everywhere one would expect.

What is needed to get multicast traffic generated at each end to transfer to the other end?

I have tried adding a route using the CLI:

ip route add 224.9.9.9/4 dev gre4-XXX

and it does appear in the routing table, but multicast traffic does not traverse the tunnel...

Hello,

For multicast to be possible, an additional package might be necessary called igmpproxy. You should be able to download it via Services -> Package manager from the WebUI. A new section in the Services menu should appear afterwards.
