Hi to all,

I've three RUT955 S/N 08xxxxxx RUT955A7V020 bootloader 3.0.1 - Modem EC20 FW EC20EQAR02A07E2G

After fw upgrade no one of three routers is able to connect to data. If downgrade to previous fw, all of three routers work correctly.

Maybe a modem firmware update could solve?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Did you perform update with Keep settings set to on? If you did, could you disable this option and try updating again.

Other than that, could you please send me troubleshoot files from routers with both versions to check on what happens during connection process? First reboot routers, allow them to connect or make attempts to connect for a few minutes, then access router's WebUI, go to System -> Administration -> Troubleshoot section and download troubleshoot file from there.

Best regards,

The routers was first reset to default configuration and after upgrade to newest fw.

I've also try the above, but no result.

I send the troubleshoot file

Thanks

On 6.09.2 firmware device, navigate to Network -> Mobile and change Connection type setting to QMI.

See if that helps.

by anonymous
switch to QMI, the connection is up but interface show no connection
by anonymous
Now i can ping the device, but i can't connect via https. (https remote connection is enabled)
by anonymous
Were you able to connect before, because, based on the 6.6.1 troubleshoot file, IP assigned to your mobile interface is from private range: 10.70.x.x.

Also, troubleshoot file from 6.9.2 shows HTTPS_WAN rule in your firewall settings disabled.
by anonymous
After a bunch of test the result is that both PPP and QMI can retrieve the IP, but the Interface don't show any connection and the router is unreachable via https and ssh. There something in FW that is misalligned. Maybe Wan related? (in Wan section the IP not come up).

Also, troubleshoot file from 6.9.2 shows HTTPS_WAN rule in your firewall settings disabled.

I'll take a look. (enablig it dont' solve the problem)

Thit is a normal behavior, because i use a private apn.

In the updated router the 3g-ppp interface disappears. Ifconfig does not provide any 3g-ppp interface. I think that's the connection problem
by anonymous
3g-ppp interface is replaced by wwan0.

Would it be possible to arrange a remote via AnyDesk to take a look at your device?

Would it be possible to arrange a remote via AnyDesk to take a look at your device?

Difficult, in the company all remote access protocols are blocked for security reasons. I have to get a free access. (takes time).

Anyway, for example two screenshots of the ifconfig command: the first is on a working router (sn 11xxxxxx) the second on the router (sn 08xxxxx) no 3g-ppp interface both updated to 6.09.2:

On both routers  gsmctl -p interface:

Working router

gsmctl -p wwan0 ->  no result

gsmctl -p 3g-ppp -> 10.x.x.x

no working router

gsmctl -p wwan0 ->  no result

gsmctl -p 3g-ppp -> no result

Could you provide outputs from working and not working devices of the following command to compare their lists of device files, as it is starting to look like a modem hardware issue:

  • ls /dev

Also, is the second troubleshoot file you have attached trouble_backup-Teltonika-6092.tar.gz, from the working device or not?

Both troubleshoot come from same device RUT955 S/N 08xxxxxx. With 6.06.1 work with 6.09.1 no.

The working router is a new rut955  (sn 11xxxxxx with EC25 type modem) and with 6.09.2 works.

I use a second working router as a reference to check the differences.

by anonymous

From cli:

      cd /

      find . | grep 3g-ppp

No working router:

     No result

Working router: (some result removed)

    ./proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf/3g-ppp

    ./proc/sys/net/ipv4/neigh/3g-ppp

    ./proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/3g-ppp

    ./proc/sys/net/ipv6/neigh/3g-ppp

     ......

     ./sys/devices/virtual/net/3g-ppp

     ./sys/class/net/3g-ppp

     ./tmp/run/3g-ppp.pid

Is the issue still relevant?

Maybe it would be possible to connect to you remotely via AnydDesk to take a look at your device?
