Hello,

Thank you for your question.

If I understand the topology correctly, you would like to reach PLCs that are behind the RUT240s?

To reach this functionality, please refer to this Wiki article: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/VPN_Hubs#LAN_to_LAN_communication

Here END1 and END2 devices could be your PLCs and you could scale the topology in the example according to your needs.

Feel free to ask more questions if you need more information.

Best regards,

Hello,

Could you explain in a bit more detail about the communication between two 850 PLCs? Do you want to setup one PLC as Modbus Master and other PLC as slave, or do they have another communication protocol?

Basically, the RMS LAN to LAN communication is possible without a Public IP (please refer to the Wiki article) and if these devices (Micro 850 PLCs) can communicate in LAN, then there should be no problem communicating through RMS VPN. I did some testing with TCP Client - Server connected to the different end devices through RMS VPN. Communication could be established and Received / Sent data was able to go through.

All protocols that are supported could be found in the Network section on this link: https://teltonika-networks.com/product/rut240/

I hope this answer gives you some clarification regarding RMS VPN.

Hi, Is it compatible to use ModbusTCP communication Protocol between Two PLCs ?  ( Example Schneider Modicon M172 ).
by anonymous
Hello,

yes, the communication will work if you set up a Master/Slave communication, the devices can forward the data, because when setting up RMS Hub, you can add Routes to the PLCs.

Hi, Could you please explain about RMS Credits ???  Cost for RMS Server Life time Account ?  and also required minimum credits for continuous connection between two RUT routers only for data transfer between routers, without monitoring through web interface ??? please explain....

Thank you

Hi,

RMS credits could be used for Management (1 credit is 30 days of monitoring) and for RMS Connect / RMS VPN (converted to data: 1 credit equals 2 GB of data). There also are RMS Packs, with longer monitoring and more data. You can establish RMS VPN while having only RMS data. Regarding pricing, please contact us here (where to buy): https://teltonika-networks.com/product/rms/
