We have a local POP3 server running and we verified this is working fine via other servers in the local network.

However the email-to-sms is not even connecting to the local POP server as we have a running tcpdump for the trace but no data is collected so we know that the TRB140 is not reaching our local POP server.

How can we verify it can reach the POP server in question ? And according to the documentation it should also be possible to enter an host | ip. but IP dresses are not allowed to be set as the POP3 server address It needs to be a domain.

We have set the local DNS server and the internal hostname from the POP3 server as the POP3 server address but no luck yet.

Also remote root via SSH is not working with the default passwords, not after a reset to factory default or firmware upgrade.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Is the DNS server added to the LAN interface? Were you able to verify that the DNS server itself is reachable?

I'd like you to attach a Troubleshoot file. It can be generated by navigating to System → Administration → Troubleshoot.

Please attach it to the original query. It will only be visible to Teltonika moderators.

Best regards,
